How to Make Your Website Launch Successful
When you launch your site, the results depend on so many factors that are really under your control. So you need to put in the necessary efforts to make the initial launch go right. You have to be well prepared to get the most out of your launch, there are no two thoughts on that. If you’re going to launch your site on a big scale, then you better do it right, and even if you plan to launch it small, you have to follow the same process. You have to understand the right way to approaching a launch, and then that will spark ideas in you.
One mistake that gets made a lot is announcing a launch day in advance and then not meeting it. If you aren’t going to commit to your launch day, why bother setting one? If you make a promise you need to stick to it. You can’t just give one excuse after another and keep moving your launch date back. You will be a lot better off when you can be sure about it. If you tell people about your launch date, you need to do everything that you can do to stick to it. Even if you need to fix a few things after the launch that’s okay. Just make sure that you properly do the launch and take care of those things in the post launch phase.
Social media is really popular and Twitter is a major player. So while you work on the site for the big launch, make sure that you are preparing to tweet to your followers as soon as it goes live. Do you not yet have a list of Twitter followers? Start working on it now! Getting people to follow you on Twitter is a lot easier than it is to get them to sign up for your email list. So why not just get out there and prepare your Twitter account during your launch phase? Thanks to the retweet feature on Twitter the news of your launch can spread faster than you imagine. No matter what else, do not ignore Twitter.
Keep in mind that you will be new, and that means lots of people may want to say, hello. They may have a suggestion to make or might have a question to ask. Since this is your launch, they could ask you about your background or anything else. So just consider that any person who gets in touch with you is taking time out of their day. That is why your contact page or form has to be there and working properly.
No matter what happens on launch day, just take it in stride and begin following your marketing plan. In other words, you have to work on improving your site’s performance even after you launch. If you are new, then just the very best you can; actually that should always be the case, regardless. There is nothing that teaches as well as experience, so keep moving forward and make the most of it.

I think those first few months are key when launching a new site. If what you are creating isn’t adding value in some way, then you are always going to struggle.
